Reichshof

Reichshof is a municipality in the Oberbergischer Kreis, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It lies in the Bergisches Land, part of the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region. The area is characterized by hilly, wooded landscapes with small farms and villages.

The municipality comprises several localities forming a single municipal entity. It is governed by a mayor and a municipal council.

History: Reichshof as an administrative unit was created in 1969 as part of North Rhine-Westphalia’s municipal reform, through the merger of several previously independent municipalities. The region has older settlements dating to the Middle Ages, evidenced by historic churches and farmsteads.
