Reichleistung
Reichleistung refers to a concept that emerged in Nazi Germany, primarily associated with the "Strength Through Joy" (Kraft durch Freude) organization. It was intended to represent the ideal of productive labor and contribution to the national community, as envisioned by the Nazi regime. The term implies a level of performance and dedication expected from German workers, not just in terms of quantity of output, but also in their ideological commitment to the state. It was promoted as a way to foster national unity and strengthen the German economy and military. The propaganda surrounding Reichleistung often depicted idealized images of healthy, happy, and highly productive workers engaged in various industries, all contributing to the perceived glory of the Reich. This concept was intertwined with the broader Nazi ideology of racial purity and the creation of a strong, self-sufficient "Volksgemeinschaft" (people's community). While presented as a positive ideal, it served as a tool for state control and the mobilization of labor for the regime's objectives, including its war efforts.
