Rehidrátáló
Rehidrátáló refers to substances or processes that restore the water content of something. In the context of medicine and physiology, rehidrátáló is most commonly associated with rehydration therapy, which involves replenishing fluids and electrolytes lost by the body due to dehydration. This can be caused by various factors such as illness, excessive sweating, or inadequate fluid intake. Oral rehydration solutions (ORS) are a primary form of rehidrátáló, containing a balanced mixture of water, salts, and sugars designed for efficient absorption. Intravenous rehydration, administered directly into the bloodstream, is used in more severe cases. Beyond human health, the term can also apply to the process of rehydrating dried foods or materials. For instance, dried fruits or vegetables are rehidrátáló when water is added back to them to restore their original texture and moisture. Similarly, certain art restoration techniques involve rehidrátáló materials that have become brittle or dry. The fundamental principle remains the same: introducing water to counteract a state of dryness or deficiency.
