Reduktorite, often referred to as gearboxes or gear reducers, are mechanical devices designed to transmit and modify rotational speed and torque from a power source to a driven component. Their primary function is to decrease the speed of rotation while simultaneously increasing the torque. This is achieved through a system of meshing gears of different sizes. A smaller gear, driven by a motor or engine, turns a larger gear at a slower rate but with greater force. The ratio of the number of teeth on the driving gear to the number of teeth on the driven gear determines the reduction ratio.
