Rechtswelt

Rechtswelt is a German term that translates to the "world of law" or "legal world." It refers to the normative and institutional sphere in which law governs social relations. The concept encompasses legal rules, procedures, institutions (courts, legislatures, administrative agencies), and the actors who apply and interpret law (judges, lawyers, police, regulators). In theory, the Rechtswelt is distinguished from other spheres such as the economy or politics and from informal social norms; it provides the formal framework within which rights and duties are defined and enforced.
