Razmiran

Razmiran is a small village situated in the central district of the Republic of Sarvast. The settlement lies at an elevation of approximately 350 metres above sea level and is positioned at the coordinates 23° 18′ N latitude and 45° 06′ E longitude. According to the latest census conducted in 2021, Razmiran has a population of roughly 1,200 residents, the majority of whom belong to the Baideh tribal confederation which has historically dominated the area.

The local economy is predominantly agrarian, with fertile alluvial plains supporting the cultivation of wheat, barley, and grapes. Livestock rearing, particularly sheep and goats, provides a secondary source of income. In recent years, small-scale handicraft workshops have emerged, producing traditional woven textiles that are sold in regional markets. The village’s limited public infrastructure includes a primary school that serves both Razmiran and nearby hamlets, a community health clinic, and a municipal office responsible for local governance.

Historically, Razmiran traces its origins to the late 18th century when migratory groups established a fortified settlement to serve as a caravan stop between the coastal emirates and inland trade routes. Remnants of the original stone wall and watchtower can still be found in the village centre and are regarded as a cultural heritage site. The ancient mosque of Al‑Mustafa, dating back to the early 19th century, is another landmark frequented by pilgrims from surrounding villages.

Transport links consist of a paved national highway that connects Razmiran to the provincial capital Khayrabad, approximately 70 kilometres to the north. Public transport is provided by a daily bus service, and a limited number of shared taxis operate on the route. The village's annual summer festival, centred on the communal plum harvest, attracts visitors from across the region and showcases local music, dance, and culinary traditions.
