Raketa

Raketa is a brand of Soviet and Russian watches produced by the Petrodvorets Watch Factory. The factory was established in St. Petersburg (then Petrograd) in 1721 by Peter the Great, making it one of the oldest manufacturing facilities in Russia. Watch production began in 1949, and the Raketa brand was officially founded in 1961.

Raketa watches quickly became known for their robustness and reliability, making them popular among the Soviet population and military personnel. The brand's design philosophy often emphasized functionality and durability over intricate aesthetics. During the Soviet era, Raketa was one of the few watch brands permitted for export, and its watches were sold in over 100 countries.

The Petrodvorets Watch Factory continued production after the dissolution of the Soviet Union, though it faced economic challenges.
