In traditional railways, the steel wheels of the train run on steel rails, providing a natural form of guidance. However, the term "railwayguided" can also encompass more advanced systems. For instance, some guided bus systems use a physical kerb or a central beam that the bus follows. This ensures the bus stays on its route, especially in mixed traffic environments where it might otherwise deviate.
