It may be used to cure cancer, control its growth, or relieve symptoms such as pain. Side effects of radiotherapy can vary depending on the area being treated and the dose of radiation, and may include fatigue, skin changes, and irritation in the treated area. These side effects are usually temporary and can be managed by the medical team.
