Raajarvon

Raajarvon is a town and municipality in the northern highlands of the fictional nation of Eldoria. It lies along the Raajar River and is surrounded by mixed forests and small farms. The settlement is the administrative center of Raajarvon Municipality, which covers about 120 square kilometers.

The name Raajarvon is of local origin; scholars note that "Raajar" refers to the river and "von" to a fort or fortified place.

Raajarvon arose as a trading post in the 12th century, grew through river commerce, and saw renewed growth in the 19th century with railroad construction.

As of the 2022 census, the population is about 7,800. The town is governed by a mayor and a nine-member municipal council. The majority language is Raajarvani, with Eldoric as a minority; most residents identify with diverse secular and traditional practices.

The economy relies on forestry, dairy farming, and light manufacturing; tourism centers on nature and history. Transportation includes a regional rail line and a national road; services include a small hospital, a secondary school, and a public library.

Notable sites include Raajar Fort, the Riverwalk, and the Old Bridge. An annual harvest festival in late summer draws visitors and locals alike, contributing to cultural life and tourism.
