RNAita

RNAita is a web-based platform that supports RNA research by combining sequence design, structure prediction, and functional annotation into an integrated workspace. It is designed to help researchers generate candidate RNA sequences for experiments, interpret folding patterns, and compare related RNAs across organisms.

Key features include RNA sequence design tools for silencing and editing applications, secondary structure prediction using thermodynamic models, motif discovery, multiple sequence alignment, and visualization dashboards. Users can import data, annotate features, and share projects with collaborators.

RNAita draws on public RNA databases and published models. It employs energy-based scoring for structure predictions, machine-learning classifiers to rank candidate designs, and trackable provenance. Outputs include design recommendations, predicted structures, and exportable files for synthesis or downstream analyses.

Developed by the RNAita Consortium, the platform was released in stages beginning in the early 2020s and has since offered free access for education and research alongside paid tiers with additional analytics. Data uploaded by users is controlled by project-based permissions and subject to standard privacy terms.

RNAita is intended to assist planning and interpretation in RNA biology, not to replace experimental validation or clinical decision making. Users should consider model limitations, assay context, and experimental conditions when interpreting results.
