RFkabler
RFkabler, also known as RF cables, are cables designed to carry radio frequency signals with controlled impedance and low loss. Most RFkabler use a coaxial construction: a conducting center conductor surrounded by a dielectric insulator, a conducting shield, and an outer jacket. The characteristic impedance is standardized, most commonly 50 ohms for communications and 75 ohms for video and some consumer applications. The choice of materials and geometry determines loss, capacitance, and shielding.
The performance is specified by attenuation (loss) versus frequency, and by return loss or VSWR, which measures
Common RFkabler include coaxial types such as RG-58, RG-174, RG-213, and low-loss formats like LMR and semi-rigid
Applications include antenna feedlines, test and measurement setups, broadcast distribution, and laboratory instrumentation. For high-frequency or
