Récoil

Récoil is a British electronic music duo formed in 1991 by Alan Wilder, formerly of Depeche Mode, and Doug McCarthy. The project originated from a period of creative exploration for Wilder following his departure from Depeche Mode. Initially, Récoil was conceived as a solo project, but McCarthy soon became a key collaborator.

The music of Récoil is characterized by its experimental and often dark electronic soundscapes.
