Qatnashishga

Qatnashishga is a non-finite verb form in Uzbek that corresponds to the infinitive meaning “to participate” or “in order to participate.” It is produced from the verb stem qatnash- with the infinitive suffix -ishga, and it is used to express purpose or to introduce non-finite clauses. The related noun form is qatnashish, which denotes participation or the act of taking part.

In usage, qatnashishga functions as a verbal phrase that can show intent, purpose, or the requirement to participate in an activity or event. It often appears after verbs and expressions that govern purpose, such as qaror qilmoq (to decide), ariza berish (to apply), yoki tayyor bo‘lmoq (to be prepared). For example: Musobaqaga qatnashishga rozi bo‘ldim (I agreed to participate in the competition). Konferensiyaga qatnashishga ariza berildi (An application to participate in the conference was submitted). Qatnashishga tayyor bo‘lish is a common collocation meaning readiness to participate.

Qatnashish, the noun form, denotes participation itself—i.e., the act or status of taking part. Qatnashishga nisbatan shakllar kabi qatnashmaslik (not participating) show the negative non-participation form.
