QBZ15
The QBZ-15 is a bullpup assault rifle designed and manufactured by Norinco, a Chinese state-owned defense contractor. It was developed as a successor to the QBZ-95, which is itself a copy of the AK-47. The QBZ-15 is known for its compact size and lightweight design, making it a popular choice among special forces and law enforcement agencies in China. It features a 5.8x42mm cartridge, which is a variant of the 5.56x45mm NATO round. The rifle is equipped with a Picatinny rail for attaching accessories such as optics and lasers, and it has a selective fire mechanism that allows for semi-automatic and fully automatic fire modes. The QBZ-15 is also notable for its use of a gas-operated system, which provides reliable performance in various environmental conditions. Despite its advantages, the QBZ-15 has faced criticism for its high cost and the challenges associated with its ammunition supply. The rifle has been exported to several countries, including Russia, where it is known as the VPO-209.
