Pühadeperiood

Pühadeperiood refers to a period of holidays or a festive season, particularly in Estonian culture. It generally encompasses a series of significant religious or cultural celebrations that occur consecutively or within a relatively short timeframe. The most prominent example of a pühadeperiood is the Christmas and New Year season, often referred to as "jõuluperiood" or simply "pühad." Beyond the Christmas and New Year festivities, the term pühadeperiood can also be applied to other times of the year that involve religious observance or national holidays. For instance, Easter, known as "Lihavõtted" or "ülestõusmispühad," is another significant pühadeperiood in Estonia.
