Päiväntasaaja
Päiväntasaaja is the Finnish word for the Equator. The Equator is an imaginary line drawn around the Earth equally distant from both poles, dividing the Earth into the Northern Hemisphere and the Southern Hemisphere. It is also the line where the length of day and night are approximately equal throughout the year. The Equator is designated as the line of 0 degrees latitude. It passes through several countries in South America, Africa, and Asia.
