Päivitysnopeus
Päivitysnopeus, often translated as refresh rate, is a fundamental specification for display devices such as monitors and televisions. It refers to how many times per second the image on the screen is redrawn or updated. This rate is measured in Hertz (Hz), where 1 Hz signifies one update per second. A higher refresh rate means the screen is redrawn more frequently, leading to a smoother visual experience.
For example, a display with a 60 Hz refresh rate updates the image 60 times every second.
The actual frame rate of the content being displayed also plays a role. If a display has
