Puoliperävaunuilla

Puoliperävaunuilla refers to a type of semi-trailer truck commonly used in Finland and other Nordic countries. The term "puoliperävaunu" literally translates to "half-trailer" in Finnish. This configuration consists of a tractor unit and a semi-trailer that is not a full-length trailer but rather a shorter unit that attaches to the rear of the tractor's chassis.

Unlike a standard tractor-trailer where the trailer is a separate unit towed by a fifth wheel, a puoliperävaunu typically has its own axles located towards the rear, with the front portion resting directly on the tractor unit. This design often results in a more compact and maneuverable vehicle compared to traditional articulated lorries. The load capacity is generally less than that of a full semi-trailer, but the increased agility makes it suitable for urban deliveries, navigating narrow roads, or situations where space is limited.
