Pulzusérzékelés
Pulzusérzékelés, also known as pulse detection or pulse sensing, refers to the process of identifying and measuring the rhythmic expansion and contraction of arteries caused by the heartbeat. This phenomenon is a fundamental physiological indicator of cardiovascular health. The pulse wave is generated as the left ventricle of the heart contracts, pushing blood into the aorta. This pressure wave travels through the arterial system, causing a palpable throbbing sensation at certain points in the body, such as the wrist (radial artery) or neck (carotid artery).
Historically, manual palpation of the pulse has been a common method for assessing heart rate and rhythm.
