Pukktõstukid

Pukktõstukid, also known as pallet trucks or pallet jacks, are mechanical devices used to lift and move pallets. They are a fundamental tool in logistics, warehousing, and retail environments for transporting goods that are stored on pallets. The most common type is the manual pallet truck, which is operated by a person pushing or pulling the handle. This manual operation allows for lifting the pallet slightly off the ground, enabling it to be moved.

The design of a pukktõstuk typically includes a hydraulic pump system, activated by a lever on the handle. Pumping this lever raises the forks, lifting the pallet. Lowering is achieved by a release valve, also controlled by the handle. The forks are designed to slide under the pallet, and the width and length of the forks can vary to accommodate different pallet sizes. Wheels at the front and rear allow for maneuverability.

Powered versions of pukktõstukid also exist, which use an electric motor to lift and propel the load. These electric pallet trucks reduce the physical effort required by the operator and can move heavier loads more quickly. They are particularly useful in large warehouses where extensive travel distances are common. Pukktõstukid are essential for efficient material handling, enabling workers to move heavy loads without the need for forklifts in many situations.
