Pufferanyagként is a Hungarian term that translates to "as buffering material" or "as padding." It refers to the use of substances or materials to absorb shock, cushion impact, or stabilize a system. In a practical sense, it describes the function of something that provides a buffer.

This concept can be applied in various contexts. For example, in packaging, materials like bubble wrap, foam peanuts, or air pillows are used as pufferanyagként to protect goods during transit. They absorb vibrations and impacts, preventing damage to the contents. Similarly, in the automotive industry, crumple zones in a car's design act as pufferanyagként, deforming upon impact to absorb and dissipate energy, thereby reducing the force transmitted to the occupants.
