Psíquicas

Psíquicas, a term derived from the Greek word "psyche" meaning soul or mind, generally refers to individuals who claim to possess abilities beyond the normal scope of human perception. These alleged abilities often fall into categories such as clairvoyance, precognition, telepathy, or psychokinesis.

Clairvoyance is the purported ability to perceive events or information not accessible through the ordinary senses, such as seeing distant places or future events. Precognition is the specific claim of foreseeing future events. Telepathy is the alleged ability to communicate thoughts directly from one mind to another without using any known sensory channels. Psychokinesis, also known as telekinesis, is the purported ability to influence physical objects with the mind alone.

The existence and validity of these psychic abilities are subjects of considerable debate and skepticism. While many individuals report personal experiences they attribute to psychic phenomena, scientific investigation has not provided conclusive evidence to support their existence under controlled conditions. Parapsychology is the field that studies these phenomena, often employing methods from psychology and physics, but its findings are not widely accepted within mainstream science. Explanations for reported psychic experiences often include psychological factors like coincidence, suggestion, confirmation bias, and misinterpretation of sensory input. Despite the lack of scientific consensus, belief in psychic phenomena remains prevalent in many cultures and continues to be explored in popular media and personal belief systems.
