Protong

Protong is a hypothetical elementary particle that has been proposed in some theoretical extensions of the Standard Model of particle physics. Its existence is not experimentally confirmed and remains speculative. The concept of protong often arises in theories attempting to unify fundamental forces or explain phenomena not accounted for by the Standard Model, such as dark matter or the hierarchy problem.

The properties of a protong are not definitively defined, as they depend entirely on the specific theoretical framework in which it is proposed. In some models, it might be a massive particle, potentially carrying a charge or being electrically neutral. Its interactions with other known particles, if any, would also be dictated by the underlying theory. Some theoretical models suggest that protongs could be part of a larger family of new particles, perhaps arising from supersymmetry or extra spatial dimensions.

The search for new particles beyond the Standard Model is an active area of research in experimental particle physics. Experiments at particle colliders, such as the Large Hadron Collider, are designed to produce and detect such hypothetical particles. If a protong were to exist, it might be detectable through its decay products or its influence on the scattering of known particles. However, no conclusive evidence for a protong has been found to date. The concept remains an open question in theoretical physics, awaiting potential future experimental verification.
