Prosztatát

Prosztatát refers to the prostate gland in Hungarian. The prostate is a small, walnut-sized gland located below the bladder in men. It is part of the male reproductive system and produces prostatic fluid, a component of semen. This fluid helps to nourish and transport sperm.

The prostate gland surrounds the urethra, the tube that carries urine from the bladder out of the body. Because of its location, conditions affecting the prostate can impact urination.

Common prostate conditions include benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), also known as an enlarged prostate, prostatitis, which is inflammation of the prostate, and prostate cancer. BPH is a non-cancerous enlargement that can cause urinary symptoms such as a frequent urge to urinate, difficulty starting urination, and a weak stream. Prostatitis can cause pain and discomfort, as well as urinary symptoms. Prostate cancer is a significant health concern for men, and early detection through screening is often recommended.

Regular medical check-ups are important for men, especially as they get older, to monitor prostate health and address any potential issues.
