Propanists

Propanists are individuals who actively advocate for or practice propanism. Propanism itself is a broad philosophical and practical stance that emphasizes the inherent value and positive potential of procreation. Adherents, or propanists, generally believe that bringing new life into the world is a fundamentally good act, contributing to the continuation and enrichment of humanity, society, or the universe, depending on their specific worldview.

The motivations for propanism can vary significantly. Some propanists are driven by a belief in the intrinsic value of life itself, seeing each new individual as a unique and precious contribution. Others may focus on the societal benefits of a growing population, such as economic vitality, cultural diversity, and the perpetuation of knowledge and traditions. Some might view procreation as a natural imperative or a spiritual calling, aligning with religious or existential perspectives.

Conversely, propanists often differentiate themselves from those who hold anti-natalist views, which question or reject the morality or desirability of procreation. While not necessarily dismissive of concerns regarding overpopulation or environmental impact, propanists tend to believe that these challenges can be addressed through responsible stewardship and technological advancement, rather than by ceasing procreation. Their focus remains on the potential for positive outcomes and the inherent goodness they perceive in the creation of new life. The term "propanist" is not widely established and may be used informally to describe this viewpoint.
