Programstruktúrák, often translated as program structures or control structures, are fundamental elements in computer programming that dictate the flow of execution within a program. They allow developers to control which statements are executed and in what order, enabling the creation of complex and dynamic applications.

The most basic program structure is sequential execution, where statements are executed one after another in the order they appear. This is the default behavior of most programming languages.

Another crucial type of program structure is selection, also known as conditional execution. This allows a program to make decisions based on certain conditions. The most common forms are if-else statements, which execute a block of code if a condition is true, and optionally another block if it's false. Another variation is the switch-case statement, which allows for multiple conditional branches based on the value of a single expression.

Repetition, or looping, is another essential program structure. Loops allow a block of code to be executed multiple times. Common loop constructs include the for loop, typically used when the number of iterations is known beforehand, and the while loop, which continues to execute as long as a specified condition remains true. A do-while loop is similar to a while loop but guarantees that the code block is executed at least once before the condition is checked.

These program structures, when combined, provide the building blocks for creating virtually any type of software. Understanding and utilizing them effectively is a cornerstone of proficient programming. They enable logic, decision-making, and repetition, transforming simple sequences of instructions into powerful and versatile programs.
