Predacon

Predacon is a faction of extraterrestrial robotic beings in the Transformers franchise. They are typically depicted as the descendants or inheritors of the Predacons, a group of dinosaur-themed robots from the original Generation 1 continuity. Predacons often represent a more aggressive and predatory approach to warfare compared to their rivals, the Autobots and their heroic counterparts, the Maximals. Their designs frequently incorporate features of predatory animals, such as lions, eagles, sharks, and insects, alongside their robotic forms.

The Predacon faction was most prominently featured in the Beast Wars: Transformers animated series, where they were the primary antagonists. In this continuity, they were originally a group of Decepticons who, after being stranded in prehistoric Earth, adapted their forms into beasts to survive. Their leader in Beast Wars was Megatron, who sought to exploit the planet's resources and alter history to ensure Decepticon dominance.

Later iterations of the Transformers lore, such as Transformers: Prime and the Transformers: Fall of Cybertron video game, have also featured Predacons. These versions often retain the core concept of being powerful, often menacing, robotic creatures with a predatory nature, serving as formidable adversaries to the Autobots and Maximals.
