PrePietist
PrePietism refers to a period and a set of theological and devotional tendencies within German Protestantism that predated and foreshadowed the Pietist movement that gained prominence in the late 17th century. While not a formally organized movement, PrePietist ideas and practices can be observed in the works and lives of various individuals and groups in the 16th and early 17th centuries.
