Praktia
Praktia, also transliterated Paktya or Paktia, is a historic and geographic region in eastern Afghanistan. It forms part of the eastern area traditionally known as Loya Paktia, together with Paktika and Khost. The region lies near the border with Pakistan and features a landscape of rugged highlands, plateaus, and river valleys. In contemporary terms, Praktia spans parts of eastern Afghanistan, with Gardez serving as a major urban center and the administrative focus of the wider Paktia Province.
