Polyeteenilaminaatti, often abbreviated as PE laminate or polyethylene laminate, is a versatile material created by bonding a layer of polyethylene to another material. This other material can be a variety of substrates, including paper, aluminum foil, or other plastics. The primary purpose of laminating polyethylene is to enhance the properties of the base material, often improving its barrier protection, strength, and sealability.

The polyethylene layer acts as an excellent moisture barrier, preventing water vapor from passing through. This makes PE laminates ideal for packaging applications where moisture protection is crucial, such as in food packaging to maintain freshness and extend shelf life.
