Polarmente

Polarmente is a small, uninhabited island located in the Adriatic Sea. Geographically, it is situated off the coast of Croatia, approximately 20 kilometers east of the Pelješac peninsula. The island is characterized by its rocky terrain and sparse vegetation, typical of many islands in the region. Its precise geological formation is part of the broader karst landscape of the Dalmatian coast.

Historically, Polarmente has seen very limited human activity. There is no evidence of permanent settlements or significant historical events associated with the island. Its remoteness and lack of natural resources have likely contributed to its uninhabited status throughout recorded history. Occasionally, local fishermen may use the waters around Polarmente for fishing or as a temporary shelter during adverse weather conditions.
