Pokyian

Pokyian is a fictional Pokémon introduced in *Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal* as part of the Johto region's Pokédex. It is a dual-type Psychic/Fairy Pokémon that evolves from Smoochum when exposed to a Moon Stone. Pokyian is one of the few Pokémon to feature the Psychic and Fairy types, which were later introduced in *Pokémon Black and White*.

Pokyian has a distinctive appearance, resembling a small, pink, and round creature with large, expressive eyes and a long, flowing tail. Its body is covered in soft, velvety fur, and it has a gentle, almost childlike expression. The species is known for its playful and affectionate nature, often seen frolicking in grassy areas or near water.

In the games, Pokyian is relatively rare and can be found in the wild in areas such as Route 35 and Route 36 in Johto. It is also one of the Pokémon that can be encountered in the Safari Zone. Trainers may encounter it during the day, particularly in tall grass or near water sources.

Pokyian's abilities include *Trace*, which allows it to copy the ability of another Pokémon it is in contact with, and *Trace* is also one of its signature moves, *Moonblast*, which is a powerful Psychic-type move that deals damage and has a chance to lower the target's Attack stat. Its typing gives it strong coverage against Dark, Dragon, and Fighting-type Pokémon, while its Fairy typing provides resistance to several other types, including Bug, Dark, Dragon, and Steel.

Pokyian has not appeared in many other Pokémon media outside of the games, but it remains a beloved Pokémon among fans for its unique design and typing combination. Its rarity and gentle demeanor make it a charming addition to the Pokémon franchise.
