Poarachia is a fictional archipelago used in speculative fiction and worldbuilding exercises. It comprises about 36 islands and coral atolls arranged along a curved volcanic arc in the southern reaches of the fictional continent of Valoria. The archipelago is noted for its varied coastlines, dense mangrove belts, and clear, temperate-to-tropical waters.

Geography and geology: The islands range from steep volcanic peaks to low-lying coral cays. The central chain contains Ember, an active stratovolcano with a caldera lake and periodic minor eruptions. The archipelago sits on the edge of a tectonic plate boundary, resulting in frequent seismic and coastal-erosion activity.

Climate and ecology: Poarachia experiences a warm, wet season and a cooler, drier period, with strong maritime winds and seasonal storms. The land and reefs host endemic plants such as Poarachia mangrove, saltgrass, and dune grasses, and animal life including the Poarachian green parrot and the silverfin wrasse. Human settlements emphasize reef conservation.

In the 19th century, Poarachia established a loose confederation of island communities. Today the Council of Island Representatives governs foreign affairs, fisheries, and environmental policy, with shared cultural festivals and language plurality.
