Pluralile is a term used in linguistic theory and in some constructed languages to describe a grammatical category that marks a reference as a single cohesive unit composed of multiple members. It signals collective unity rather than mere counting. The term combines 'plural' with the suffix '-ile' to indicate unitary, rather than distributive, plurality.

Formation and syntax: In languages that use pluralile, the base noun forms a pluralile variant by adding -ile. The accompanying verb may take a singular agreement when the action is interpreted as performed by the group as a whole; a distributive or individual-action reading may require standard plural agreement. Some analyses treat pluralile as a separate feature from ordinary plurality, while others view it as a pragmatic marker of collectivity.

Semantics: Pluralile encodes collective cohesion, scope, and agency. It foregrounds the group as a single actor instead of a mere collection of individuals. This distinction matters for events, committees, teams, or other entities whose actions are understood holistically rather than as the sum of parts.

Example: in a hypothetical language, nomile denotes a crowd treated as a single entity, as in "The nomile moves to the hall." By contrast, a plain plural would refer to individuals acting separately. Pluralile is a theoretical construct and is not attested in major natural languages, but it appears in discussions of collective noun semantics and in some constructed languages.
