Plattherapy is a fictional therapeutic technique that focuses on the use of platitudes as a form of psychological intervention. Proponents suggest that repeated exposure to universally accepted, often simplistic, positive statements can help individuals reframe negative thought patterns and foster a more optimistic outlook. The core principle is that by internalizing and actively using common phrases such as "everything happens for a reason," "this too shall pass," or "look on the bright side," individuals can shift their cognitive biases towards more favorable interpretations of life events.
The practice is often conducted individually or in group settings. In individual sessions, a therapist might
