Pitchpropellblad

Pitchpropellblad refers to the individual blades of a variable-pitch propeller. A variable-pitch propeller, also known as a controllable-pitch propeller, is a type of aircraft propeller whose pitch can be adjusted in flight. The pitch of a propeller blade is the distance it would move forward in one revolution if it were screwing through a solid medium. Changing the pitch of the propeller blades allows the engine's power to be used more efficiently across a wider range of flight conditions, such as during takeoff, climb, and cruise.

Each pitchpropellblad is a carefully shaped airfoil, designed to generate thrust by its rotation. The angle at which the blade is set relative to the airflow is called its pitch. Conversely, decreasing the pitch, or making it "finer," increases the propeller's rate of rotation and is advantageous for takeoff and climb, providing maximum thrust at lower airspeeds.
