Pinsettien
Pinsettien is a term that refers to a specific type of insect, commonly known as a earwig. These insects belong to the order Dermaptera. They are characterized by their distinctive forceps-like cerci at the end of their abdomen, which can vary in size and shape depending on the species. While often associated with dark, damp environments, earwigs are not typically considered pests in homes, though some species may occasionally be found indoors. Their diet consists primarily of decaying organic matter, other insects, and sometimes plant material. Despite their appearance, the forceps are not used to pinch humans, and the common misconception that they crawl into people's ears is largely a myth. Earwigs play a role in the ecosystem by acting as decomposers and predators of smaller invertebrates.
