Pinacosaurus is a genus of armored dinosaurs in the family Ankylosauridae that lived in Asia during the Late Cretaceous period. The type species, Pinacosaurus grangeri, is known from skulls and partial skeletons discovered in what is now Mongolia, with additional material attributed to the genus found in northern China. The name combines Greek elements referring to plate-like armor, reflecting its mosaic body armor.
