Piirkondi

Piirkondi is a term used in regional planning to describe a network of subnational districts intended to improve governance and service delivery by aligning administrative units with functional urban regions. The idea envisions dividing a larger territory into several semi-autonomous units called piirkondi, each responsible for housing, transportation, health, and local economic development, while coordinated by a central regional authority.
