PierreAlphonse

PierreAlphonse is a pseudonymous collaborative project in contemporary art and media, founded in Paris in 2010 by two artists who work under the names Pierre Moreau and Alphonse Dupont. The project spans visual art, film, and sound design, producing installations, video works, and live performances. The works often examine memory, urban space, and perception, with a focus on how viewers experience light and physical space.

PierreAlphonse employs a hybrid process that blends traditional crafts—drawing, sculpture, and printmaking—with digital technologies such as projection mapping, generative systems, and immersive sound. Aesthetic choices include restrained color palettes, reflective or translucent materials, and precise geometries designed to guide attention through architectural spaces or gallery rooms.

Notable pieces include the installation Lumen (2012), the video installation Nocturne (2016), and the immersive work Sillage (2019). The project has been presented in galleries and festivals across Europe and North America, and is represented by a Paris-based gallery. Critics have described PierreAlphonse as articulating a dialogue between cinema, sculpture, and installation, emphasizing atmosphere and tactility.
