Pevyuje is a term in the fictional Novari culture, used to describe a form of communal ritual singing. In the ethnography of the Novari, pevyuje denotes a chorus-led performance in which a cyclic melody is sustained while singers contribute improvised verses. It is typically performed at seasonal festivals, harvest gatherings, and village celebrations, often outdoors and without fixed instrumentation beyond lightweight percussion and handclaps.

Etymology and classification: The word is treated as a single lexical item in most sources, though some scholars propose that it comprises roots meaning "voice" and "weave" in the Novari language. In practice, the term is used to label the practice rather than to describe internal components.
