Perhepäivähoitajat, often translated as family day carers, are professionals who provide childcare in their own homes. This form of early childhood education and care is a regulated service in Finland, offering an alternative to larger daycare centers. Perhepäivähoitajat work with small groups of children, typically from a few months old up to school age, in a home-like environment.
