Perforált

Perforált is a Hungarian adjective meaning perforated, i.e., having holes or perforations made intentionally in a regular pattern. The corresponding noun form is perforáció (the perforation), and the verb is perforál (to perforate). The term is widely used in technical, architectural, artistic and everyday contexts to describe objects that have been drilled, punched or punched through with a series of holes.

In materials and design, perforált describes items such as perforált lemez (perforated sheet metal), perforált műanyag (perforated plastic) and perforált textília (perforated textile). Holes are typically arranged in regular rows and columns, enabling functions such as air or light passage, filtration, acoustic control or decorative effect. Common applications include acoustic panels, ventilation screens, filters, screens in architecture, and decorative façades. The pattern, hole size and material influence strength, weight and permeability.

In packaging and consumer products, perforáció may be used to facilitate tearing along a line or to create perforated segments for convenient use or sale by weight.

Medically, perforáció refers to the creation or presence of a hole in a hollow organ, either as a deliberate medical intervention or as a pathological condition. Perforált belemében is used to describe a perforated section of the intestine, for example, a serious clinical finding requiring urgent treatment.
