Pelletförpackning

Pelletförpackning refers to the packaging used for wood pellets. These are typically small, compressed cylinders of biomass fuel made from sawdust, wood shavings, or other organic materials. The packaging plays a crucial role in protecting the pellets from moisture, contamination, and physical damage during storage and transport.

Common types of pellet packaging include large bags, often made of durable plastic or woven polypropylene, holding quantities ranging from 10 to 50 kilograms. These bags are usually sealed to prevent the ingress of moisture, which can cause the pellets to expand and degrade. Some larger industrial users may receive pellets in bulk bags, also known as FIBCs (Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers), which are designed for efficient handling with forklifts. Smaller, consumer-sized packs might be made of paper or more advanced multi-layer materials for enhanced protection.

The design of pellet packaging often includes features for ease of handling, such as reinforced handles or specific dimensions for palletizing. Branding and product information, including the type of wood used, moisture content, calorific value, and certifications, are typically printed on the packaging. Proper sealing and material integrity are paramount to maintaining pellet quality and ensuring efficient combustion.
