Paucarum
Paucarum is a genus of small freshwater triclads in the order Tricladida, class Turbellaria. The genus was first described in 1885 by the Austrian parasitologist Ludwig Zschokke, who identified the type species Paucarum lacustris from a lake in the Carpathian Basin. Members of the genus are characterized by a cylindrical body 3–5 mm in length, a pair of auricles at the cephalic region, and a distinctive single branch of the pharynx. The reproductive system is hermaphroditic, featuring a copulatory apparatus that includes a seminal vesicle and a copulatory duct.
