Partyless

Partyless refers to a state or situation where political parties are absent or play a minimal role. This can manifest in various ways, from a complete absence of formal political organizations to a system where individuals run for office as independents without party affiliation. In some contexts, a partyless system may emerge during periods of political upheaval or in societies that have historically rejected formal party structures.

The concept of a partyless government is often associated with ideals of direct democracy or a focus on individual representation rather than party platforms. Proponents might argue that a partyless system could reduce partisan gridlock, encourage more independent thinking among elected officials, and foster a greater sense of unity among the populace. They may believe that party loyalties can distract from the genuine needs of constituents and lead to ideological extremism.
