Partisielt

Partisielt is an adjective used in Norwegian to describe something that is biased in favor of a political party, faction, or ideology, or that shows allegiance to a particular side. The term signals partiality rather than neutrality and is commonly applied to articles, commentary, or analyses that align with a party’s program or interests.

The word is closely related to other terms for bias in politics, such as partisk (biased) and upartisk (unbiased). While partisielt emphasizes a clear leaning toward a party or cause, it does not by itself specify the degree of bias, and it can be used in both everyday language and academic or journalistic contexts. In media and public discourse, a partisan or partisielt stance may be evident in editorials, opinion pieces, or the framing of issues, as opposed to neutral reporting.

In political science and media studies, partisielt analysis examines how party loyalty affects the presentation of information, interpretation of data, and rhetorical choices.
