Particularment is an adverb used in Catalan to mean particularly, especially, or in a specific way. It is formed from the adjective particular plus the adverbial suffix -ment, and it shares roots with other Romance languages. Its meaning overlaps with especialment but carries a nuance of emphasis on a specific aspect within a given context. The term appears in formal and technical writing as well as in everyday speech.

In usage, particularment typically modifies adjectives or past participles to highlight a higher degree or a specific characteristic. It can be placed before the word it modifies: “És particularment útil en situacions d’emergència.” It can also introduce a focus within a sentence: “La recerca se centrarà particularment en l’eficàcia del tractament.” In everyday Catalan, “en particular” is often preferred when referring to a specific aspect rather than increasing degree.
