Parametritetut
Parametritetut is a Finnish term used in technical and scientific texts to describe objects, models, datasets, or designs that have been described or defined by a finite set of parameters. In practice, something parametritetty is controlled or characterized by adjustable parameter values, rather than by a flexible, non-parametric description. The concept is central to the distinction between parametric and non-parametric approaches: parametritetut models rely on a limited number of parameters, while non-parametrized or data-driven approaches may use more flexible representations.
Linguistically, the word is formed from the noun parametri (parameter) and the past participle suffix -tettu,
Applications and domains where parametritetut descriptions appear include mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, and data science.
